first trip

At last we've got both time and internet, so i thought i'd better bring you all up to speed. We we're allocated our truck (3118) on the 14th may and spent the afternoon getting all our kit in it. Then on the friday we we're dispatched to Salt lake city utah for a 06.00 monday delivery. SLC is only a 13 hour drive so we had plenty of time to take in the sights of Montana. Our relaod was 2 pick ups in Idaho, then straight back to Lethbridge for a trailer swap, then back south to Sioux city nebraska. We tipped friday night then reloaded a meat load with 4 drops on for Toronto, plus a meat inspection all to be done tuesday. On tuesday we we''re sat in meat inspec for 4 hours so we only got 2 of our 4 drops off. Anyway we was told to drop the trailer in the yard and pick up a loaded one to go to Edmonton so we got to drive right across Canada. One night at about 22.30, just before a place called nipigon, we encountered a moose! At the time i was doing about 65mph on a single road when this head appeared in front of us. It 's head was as high as us and the look on it's must have been the same as ours, as i veered left the moose bolted to it's left and we missed it by a couple feet. After that i did 40 mph for the 10 mile or so to nipigon. Later on we were talking to a night man who said he'd hit 20 or so over the years and written off several trucks! At the moment were on a 36 hour reset in Edmonton, weve been out all day at the worlds largest mall, more about that later. On sunday weve been dispatched to Vancouver so we will have a scenic drive through the Rockies.
