updates

What a month! sorry i haven't posted much due to lack of time. The calafornia trip was really good, the temperature was 39 deg where we reloaded (salinas). The run back was great. When we got back to lethbridge i was told there was no orientation course for the following, so if i wanted i could go back out on another trip south. So of we went to Laredo tx, which is on the mexican border. We tipped on the monday then they ran us to Galveston tx for a load of melons to go to Calgary, result. When we got loaded they asked us if we would mind swapping trailers with driver at Amerillo tx as he had to get back to Lethbridge. So we did, and wound up with a load for Toronto! At Toronto we dropped the trailer loaded, then picked a loaded one up with a drop in Regina mb then Saskatoon mb then Edmonton ab. At Edmonton they kindly gave us an empty trailer to get us home. So the trip took 11 days and totalled just under 8000 miles! Anyway after all that i managed to get into the classroom for 3 days to do my orientation. So with that done i could finally go on my rocky mountain mentor trip with a driver called Ian, who drives like he's been chased by the cops! Very scary indeed!! When i got back i was allocated a truck, so we are now the proud occupants of 3118. We was despatched on thursday to Salt Lake City ut, but didn't bother leaving until friday as SLC is only a 1000 mile and its not tipping while monday. At 4 pm on friday we set of with 44000lb of cat litter, which if any of you dont know is radioactive! so you can imagine the fuss the US border made! We got all done in about 2 hours so we only ran to Shelby mt. Saturday we ran from Shelby to Mccammon id which is where we are now. When we started at 8 am it was 4 deg c, when we parked up at 6 pm it was 24 deg c. Where we've parked is a hot, lush green valley with huge snow capped mountains surrounding us, it is stunning. Tommorow we've only got a couple hours to do so we can have an afternoon to ourselves. Anyway time for bed now if i remember tommorow and don't look to much like a saddo i'll get some pics of our truck and post them. Catch you soon.
